Being a "green" design/build construction company we are constantly looking for more ways to conserve energy. Windows are one of the biggest causes of heat loss in a home and by using triple glazed windows we are able to reduce that heat loss. In our process of being "green" you have to give and take on factors such as carbon footprint or energy efficiency. These triple glazed windows have been shipped from Germany but their performance on energy efficiency and quality of craftmanship out weighed the carbon footprint of shipping, in our opinion. The efficiency of these windows allow us to incorporate larger windows and harvest more daylight in areas that need it most. We also used light wells to get daylight to the bottom basement floor.
